About ThriftNearby

ThriftNearby is an independent directory of 43,225 thrift stores, consignment shops, vintage clothing stores, and secondhand shops across the United States. It is not affiliated with any store chain.

ThriftNearby serves thrift shoppers who want to find secondhand stores by state or city. The site is free to use. Each store page shows the address, hours, phone number, and photos from the store’s Google Maps listing. Category pages list consignment shops, vintage clothing stores, used clothing stores, and second hand shops for each city.

Where the data comes from

Store names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, and ratings come from public Google Maps business listings. Short store descriptions are generated from those listing facts only. We do not add claims that are not in the listing.

Numbers

US thrift stores by state sums the directory up: stores per state, the largest chains, the share open on Sunday, and the highest-rated store in each state. It is free to cite with a link.

How often it is updated

The directory is refreshed about once a month. Stores that drop out of Google Maps are marked as possibly closed and removed from search engines, but their page stays so you can see the last known details. Hours change often, so call ahead before you drive.

Corrections

If a store is listed wrongly, the fastest fix is to update the store’s Google Business Profile. Our next monthly refresh will pick up the change.
